Untitled film with audience created sound
A short work comprised of film clips by student at St. Andrew's. The sound track was created live by the students and faculty at St. Andrew's during a chapel service in the spring of 2017.
Different Trains
- Steve Reich
One of the most important minimalist works from the 20th century, Different Trains was composed in 1988 for live string quartet and tape. The prerecorded tape contains two string quartets, train sounds, and spoken fragments. The vocal content focuses the Holocaust and the juxtaposition of train travel in different parts of the world during the period around World War II.
The filmmaking students at St. Andrew's created original works based on the music from Different Trains. These films will be projected during the performance.
